Quinta dos Abrigueiros has been increasing production over the years, as well as investing in the improvement of new winemaking technologies. This is done in their own cellar where they aim to enhance the freshness and aroma of the grape must, resulting in a wine with a fruity aroma and a fresh taste typical of the Loureiro grape variety.
The vineyards were planted on terraces on a hillside, with a southeast sun exposure, which provides the grapes with excellent ripening. The mountains of the Lima Valley protect the vineyards from the winds coming from the Atlantic and create a unique microclimate in the region. Along with the granitic and sandy soils, an exceptional ‘terroir’ is obtained for the grape development, resulting in an excellent wine.
